The first day we went over Independence Pass. The sun made the bikes sparkle on the way up.As the summit approaches, the valley is a long way down.

At the top of the park, the vegetation is sparse. Bill's 'Wing came from 40 feet above sea level to over 12,000 and ran out just as strong going over the top as it did when he left. Mine's used to 6,000 feet.
Preparing for the snow; the poles are in place so they can plow the snow out in the spring without damaging the buildings. It is laying down the base of the snow as I put these pictures up.
